Jamie Lindau, national sales manager for Trachte Building Systems, has more than 25 years of experience in self-storage building and consulting. During his career, he has assisted more than 1,100 self-storage owners with the acquisition, layout, feasibility, building design and purchase of their sites. He’s a regular contributor to Inside Self-Storage magazine and other industry publications. Jamie has conducted more than 220 self-storage development seminars for Trachte since 1987.
Charles Plunkett is the founder and CEO of Capco Steel Inc. He’s been involved in the design, development and construction of self-storage facilities for more than 30 years. Charles is a licensed general contractor and has served on the board of directors for the Texas Self Storage Association. He’s also been a speaker at numerous industry events and written articles for industry publications. Capco has been awarded the prestigious “Facility Of The Year Award” nine times.
Jim Ponti began his career in the banking industry as a commercial mortgage lender, asset manager and real estate appraiser. He worked with Safeguard Self Storage for seven years as a national operations manager, overseeing 33 facilities. Since 2002, he’s worked for Janus International as a regional sales manager, providing feasibility, design, operations and product-application assistance to facility owners and developers. He’s the former president of the Louisiana Self Storage Association and continues to serve on the boards of the Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nebraska and Oklahoma Self Storage Associations. He’s also part owner in several Gulf Coast facilities.
